Meta funds AI agents on WhatsApp for 150 businesses

by Sanuker | August 2026

WOZTELL Sanuker and Meta are committing more than US$1M, up to US$20,000 per business, to build Meta Business Agent on WhatsApp for 150 companies.

WOZTELL Sanuker, an official WhatsApp Business Solution Provider (BSP) since 2019, is teaming up with Meta to deploy Meta Business Agent, Meta’s native AI agent for WhatsApp, across 150 businesses. The program runs on Meta’s Client Integration Fund (CIF), with a joint commitment of more than US$1M, and up to US$20,000 per business, to cover the technical build of each deployment. For a qualifying company, the cost of putting a production-grade AI agent live on WhatsApp is covered by Meta’s funds, and WOZTELL Sanuker’s team handles all the technical work so that funding is captured end to end.

What the Client Integration Fund actually is

The Client Integration Fund is Meta’s mechanism for co-financing deployments of Meta Business Agent. The money comes from Meta, not the client: Meta reimburses the implementation work (discovery, solution design, system integration, testing, and launch) based on the effort and geography of each project. In plain terms, a qualifying business gets its agent built without paying for the engineering, because the build is funded through the CIF claim that WOZTELL Sanuker files and manages as the partner. Our job is to get that funding into your operation.

What are Meta Business Agents?

Two things are easy to confuse. On one side is the basic automation anyone can set up inside the WhatsApp Business app: quick replies, greeting messages, and not much more. On the other is Meta Business Agent deployed on the WhatsApp Cloud API through a BSP like WOZTELL Sanuker: a genuinely deep AI agent that connects to your catalogs, your stock, your CRM, your ERP, and your payment systems to resolve end to end. It is that second version the CIF funds, and the one that separates a bot that says hello from an agent that sells and operates.

Why Meta Business Agent changes the WhatsApp playbook

Meta Business Agent is not a support chatbot bolted onto a phone line. When it goes live, it becomes the default agent on the business’s WhatsApp thread and handles every incoming conversation first: answering from your own knowledge sources such as product catalogs, shipping policies, and help center content; calling your systems through connectors like order management, inventory, CRM, and payments; and completing tasks such as stock checks, product recommendations, and linking to checkout.

The timing matters. With WhatsApp’s pricing and policy changes landing in October 2026, businesses are rethinking how much of their conversation volume a human actually needs to touch. An agent that resolves the routine majority is how the unit economics stay in your favor.

How do you access the up to US$20,000 per business?

Meta releases the fund against results: a deployment only counts once it reaches “Active” status, which is a specific threshold, not a launch date. The process has three pieces, and WOZTELL Sanuker does the heavy lifting on all three:

  1. A signed SOW, approved before work starts. Every project needs a Statement of Work (SOW) agreed between the client and the partner, and Meta must approve the plan before the build begins.
  2. Ninety days to deliver. Each approved project runs on a 90-day clock from its start date, across discovery, design, integration, testing, and launch.
  3. “Active” means volume, not go-live. The agent must be the default handler for the thread and sustain an average of at least 100 agent-handled conversations per day over two consecutive weeks.

That last point is the line to read twice: this program rewards businesses with real WhatsApp volume, not pilots.

“Active” isn’t a launch date. It’s the agent handling 100+ conversations a day, every day, for two weeks straight.

Is your business a fit?

If your operation handles more than 100 conversations a day on WhatsApp and that traffic is steady, this program is for you, whatever your industry: retail, e-commerce, financial services, telco, or any vertical with real volume. At that level of traffic, the funding math works and the agent has enough activity to prove its value. And if you are still building that volume, we can help you get there too, outside the CIF track.

How WOZTELL and Sanuker deliver it

This is where the two halves fit together, and where years of BSP deployments show. Sanuker is the WhatsApp BSP and consultancy that runs the project end to end: it scopes the use cases, writes the SOW, files and manages the claim with Meta, designs the agent, integrates your systems, and operates the solution after launch. WOZTELL is the platform the agent runs on: the conversational AI infrastructure that connects Meta Business Agent to your knowledge and your systems in production. You do not have to choose between them or migrate anything: Sanuker builds on WOZTELL, and the CIF claim covers the build.

Frequently asked questions

Is Meta Business Agent really free for the client?

The build is funded through Meta’s Client Integration Fund, so the client does not pay for the implementation engineering covered by the approved SOW. Ongoing platform and WhatsApp messaging costs still apply, and Meta sets the final reimbursement, so the funded scope is confirmed when the SOW is approved.

How much does the fund cover per business?

The CIF can cover up to US$20,000 per implementation, and Meta sets the final amount based on the effort and geography of the project. WOZTELL Sanuker sizes the SOW to make the most of that fund.

What does the CIF cover, and what does it not?

CIF covers the implementation work to build and launch the agent: discovery, solution design, integrations, testing, and launch. It does not cover WhatsApp conversation charges, ongoing subscription fees, or any work outside the approved SOW.

How long does a deployment take?

Each approved project must be completed within 90 days of its start date, spanning technical assessment, solution design, system integration, testing, and production launch.

Do I have to switch platforms to join?

No. Sanuker delivers the solution on the WOZTELL platform, and the agent connects to your existing systems through connectors, so there is no rip-and-replace. The program is open to WOZTELL and Sanuker clients and prospects.

Who qualifies?

The program targets businesses with real WhatsApp conversation volume, in any vertical: retail, e-commerce, financial services, telco, and more. A short scoping call confirms fit before any SOW is written.

Ready to see if you qualify?

If you run enterprise-scale WhatsApp volume and want the agent built for you, book a CIF scoping call with WOZTELL Sanuker: we assess fit, map the use cases, and handle the SOW and Meta approval. If you would rather explore the platform behind it first, see what Meta Business Agent looks like on WOZTELL. Either way, the window to build on Meta’s funding is open now.
